Mar. 12th, 2008 04:03 pmSo, well done to the Chancellor for announcing that the current Gift Aid level for charities will remain at 28% and not drop to 25% when income tax levels change on April 6th.
But announcing it only three weeks before this change was due to happen, when the majority of charities have already gone through the expensive process of reprinting their literature and updating software? FAIL.
Luckily, I'm inefficient and hadn't booked a temp to come in and stick labels on our donation forms yet. But still! I'm expecting much noise about this in the charity world.
