(no subject)

Hello from Yorkshire, where I've managed to slip away from the attention of my dog and the attempts of my Dad to play yet another game of Trivial Pursuit to the library, wherein I can have a luxurious hour of internet fun. Christmas Day was good - we went to my brother's mother-in-law's house for foie gras, turkey and strawberry ice cream. My 2 nieces and my sister-in-law's young nephew were also there, which made for much entertainment. I've discovered that children are very good at making noise and falling over. Which was nice. Got back home in time for Dr Who, which was entertaining and the new Dr is indeed very lovely. Had a game of Trivial Pursuit, then went to bed, safe in the knowledge that yet another Christmas has passed.

It's freezing here today and the prospect of getting out and doing anything has been stumped by all the buses being cancelled. I'm back down to London tomorrow, so I hope that there's actually a way to blow this joint. Pointless New Year's resolutions sure to follow when I get back to work next week.
