Mar. 8th, 2005 03:34 pmI had a very long and fun-filled weekend, which, as per usual, involved much drinking and merriment. It kicked off on Friday with a trip to the Mughouse and the discovery that Madeira is very nice stuff. Drinking it as though it were wine was probably my first mistake, followed by my insistence that we visit a Peruvian bar for cocktails. The results can be seen in my Friday evening LJ entry.
On Saturday night, travelled for about 2 hours to get to Crystal Palace for drink and Thai food fun, with a Krispy Kreme stop on the way. There was an awful lot of wine and exciting impressive magic flowers! The wine may explain why playing football at London Victoria with an A-Z in a Gap bag was a good idea.
On Sunday, once again travelled south of the river for Seamus games fun, where I managed to win at the expanded version of Seafarers of Catan. As usual, I'm not quite sure how I did it, so won't be able to replicate my strategy. More importantly, there was smoked salmon and cheese and and cheesy-tea and books and fun. Went home to discover a beetle in my kitchen, which I promptly squashed, not realising it would take me another 15 hours to remove gross squished remains from my kitchen floor. Yuck! I'm such a wuss.
Yesterday, I had a day off, which I spent having lunch and er...sitting in an office playing with pictures of fish. I like to vary my life when I'm not at work.
I may have enjoyed this weekend more if I'd been running the comp I thought I would be, but perhaps not. Tomorrow I'm having previously-postpone dinner at Mirabelle with Sean, so hoorah for more fun.
Oh, Happy Birthday to
chocaholic7 for yesterday! Sorry this is late, but hope you had a good day.
Look, I done made a quiz. Please do it and post in your journal - there are lots of pretty pictures and I want to see how it works!
