Mar. 4th, 2005 09:45 amThe dance competition I've been helping to organise for the past 9 months or so and been staying up for lots in the last couple of weeks has been postponed, due to venue issues. I've been rather pissed off about this for the last 24 hours, but I think I've talked about it enough and will revert from my (pathetic) Hulk state to normality.
So, in order to calm my seething rage last night, went round to
vigornian's for games. He'll probably do a full run down, but the most important fact of the evening was that I won a game of Puerto Rico! Interestingly, I did it without a factory - my strategy of having an office, a harbour and a small market seemed to work well enough. I've started to like this game now. Was much fun and I definitely felt better after playing, due to the heady mix of wine and victory.
Today, I need to make sure that no-one turns up in Birmingham on Sunday and actually do some work which doesn't involved ringing potential venues and disappointing people.
